Mike Hourigan was invited to deliver the opening keynote address at the inaugural South Australian Model United Nations Conference, 2007 (SAMUNC07). The UniSA United Nations Society proudly presented the first conference of its type in South Australia, bringing students together from all South Australian Universities during the 12th-14th of April, 2007 to deliberate on issues of global relevance.

The conference theme was ‘Building Bridges, Upholding Humanity, Securing our Future.’ In times of heightened levels of economic, political and cultural tensions, building bridges is more important than ever before, particularly between those differing cultural and religious groups, as these affect the condition of humanity on an individual and global level.

03/03/2007 - SA Business Ambassadors Network Victorian Chapter Launch, Melbourne

Michael Hourigan was the keynote speaker at the South Australian Business Ambassadors Network (SABAN) Victorian launch held in the corporate function rooms of Piper Alderman Lawyers Melbourne. SABAN is a unique but highly effective program promoting South Australia as the right place to live, visit, work, be educated, invest and do business. SA Business Ambassadors are influential business leaders and hand picked leaders of tomorrow, based in South Australia, interstate or overseas, who have been invited by the Premier of South Australia to be Business Ambassadors for the State. Michael, who was appointed a Business Ambassador for the State of South Australia by Premier Mike Rann in May 2006 presented an inspirational address to a select audience of business, community and academic leaders all recognized as people who have made a significant contribution to South Australia, and who continue to have an influential role in shaping its future.

Michael Hourigan was the keynote speaker at the South Australian Business Ambassadors Network (SABAN) launch at the boardroom of Piper Alderman Lawyers Sydney.
